Greed is good and ignorance is bliss The parts are always greater than the whole Friendship is an illusion best sealed with a Judas kiss Whoever loves the least is in control That’s what we learned, that’s what we know Don’t second-guess, progress, on with the show That’s how it’s done, that’s how you grow Hesitations only interrupt the flow We will get older We will get wise As atrocities fade away We will be faithful We will make nice But until that distant day Don’t think twice Roll the dice Believe the lie and make up the truth When the money stops just start another war Get away with murder by blaming it on the youth Why study the past if it pays off to ignore That’s what we learned, that’s what we know The curtains close, the crowd goes wild, we bow That’s how it’s done, that’s how you grow We came, we saw and that’s how far we’ll go We will get older We will get wise As atrocities fade away We will be faithful We will make nice But until that distant day Don’t think twice Roll the dice We need forward momentum so why dwell on the past Stop giving me answers to questions never asked But then it hit me hard – bang! – reality check Modern society’s headed for a train wreck The suspect to blame, he looks a lot like me Between Us and Them whatever happened to We People own so damn much yet never-ever enough We sure love to Like but really what’s to love We will get older We will get wise As atrocities fade away We will be faithful We will make nice But until that distant day Don’t think twice Roll the dice Get older Get wise Be faithful Make nice Think twice That’s how you grow

This is the last song about you At least I hope it is It’s not that I’m out of lyrics I’d write another twenty just like this And yet I sing the last song about you This is all heartache deserves Nothing I do will make you care about me By now I’ll probably get on your nerves Yes now I see I wasn’t made for you I was made for myself And for the things I can do And if you don’t believe that Just listen to the sound Of all the different songs I’ve made While you were not around And although I miss you again I don’t need you I never liked the friends you had It’s time that I confessed They stimulated a part of you I hated Brought out your bad side, you forgot the rest So now you’re one of them I wonder why You were best in the days we were all alone When you weren’t drunk or high Yes now I see I wasn’t made for you I was made for myself And for the things I can do And if you don’t believe that Just listen to the sound Of all the different songs I’ve made While you were not around And although I miss you again Although I miss you again Although I miss you again I don’t need you

Overdose 04:11
Every time I go I come back One minute without her The sky turns black I don’t know what it is That I miss Why can’t I resist A thing that doesn’t exist I don’t know why I like her She keeps asking why I do I could say she’s so nice to me But that wouldn’t be so true I’ve had an overdose I guess I came too close Hot fever, cold sweat She’s too good to forget She’s got one bad habbit She lies And everytime I tell it She denies When she does I laugh ‘Cause I know If she begged me to believe her I wouldn’t say no I don’t know why I like her She keeps asking why I do I could say she’s so nice to me But that wouldn’t be so true I’ve had an overdose I guess I came too close Hot fever, cold sweat She’s too good to forget

Born on a small street in a small town Your parents tried to raise you well They taught you how to be a good boy And gave you a band-aid when you fell At junior high the teasing started With bullies driving you to tears Smelling blood they mocked your innocence You learned to cope throughout the years You’re civilized in a savage world Watch your step out of the comfort zone You’re civilized in a savage world All grown up and all alone And finally the day had come For you to boldly leave the nest No more foolish games--that’s what you thought Which proved you wiser than the rest Here’s the thing about maturity You’ll wish you never joined the club Adults behave like kids sometimes We show our age but won’t grow up You’re civilized in a savage world Watch your step out of the comfort zone You’re civilized in a savage world All grown up and all alone All grown up and all alone All grown up All grown up and all alone All grown up All grown up and all alone

I watched you from afar Playing hard to get Rejecting without reason The love you never had Too proud to hide in shadows Too shy to show your skin I wonder what you're scared of What secret lies within Crack the code I know you want me to Unlock the thing that's holding you Open up now, it won't hurt Soon I'll say the magic word You never needed anyone Least of all a man That's all about to change, girl If only I knew when One day I'll touch that weak spot Then I'll reap what I have sowed Your body grows impatient I guess today I'll crack your code Crack the code I know you want me to Unlock the thing that's holding you Open up now, it won't hurt Soon I'll say the magic word I'm the breath against your neck The chill running up your spine Without you ever knowing I made you cross the line You'll open like a flower And let the right one in Pardon my intrusion Let the games begin One day I'll touch that weak spot And then I'll reap what I have sowed Your body grows impatient I guess today I'll crack your code Crack the code I know you want me to Unlock the thing that's holding you Open up now, it won't hurt Soon I'll say the magic word You are about to change, girl Get ready for the change
